Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (AIIS)
The main focus of AIIS lab is to advance knowledge and technology in artificial intelligence, as well as to promote an application of AI techniques in information system context. In addition to theoretical work on development of intelligent agent techniques, some research topics for AI application include development of a Braille-English-Thai text translator, and a study on computer technology for visually impaired persons.
Computational Intelligence Laboratory (CI)
CIL is the laboratory that aims to develop the intelligence system that has the same thinking and learning process as human beings and has the ability to learn by itself, from its experience and from related information in the past. The lab also aims to develop computational intelligence algorithms that can help support the decision making of human beings or even replace human works.
Data Mining and Data Exploration Laboratory (DME)
The purposes of DME laboratory are researching, developing, implementing, knowledge publishing, human resource development and social service in data mining field. This includes investigation and data exploration for analyzing and making decision. Data mining technology can be used to solve problems in both government and business organizations such as use of data mining tools to find customer behavior patterns to improve products and business services.
Knowledge Management and Knowledge Engineering Laboratory (KMAKE)
KMAKE has been established with the aim to research, design, and develop technologies that support applications in the field of knowledge engineering and knowledge management. Important issues include knowledge discovery and knowledge acquisition, knowledge collection and organization, knowledge representation, knowledge filtering, knowledge dissemination, and impact of knowledge management within a social and organization context.
